Prof. Malinowski’s Statement
In this position, I want to be a candidate who adheres to the highest IEEE standards. Attention to diversity in many aspects is essential. I will be committed to bringing Division VI affiliated societies together with total commitment and equal treatment of all affiliated societies, substantial
confidentiality, and concern for the future development of Division VI. We must ensure deepening cooperation between societies by creating mechanisms to encourage cross-membership. Joint conference activities, e.g., keynote speakers from societies belonging to Division VI, activation of a joint Distinguished Lecturers program and educational programs, intersociety student competitions, debates at conferences on including all societies in Division VI in such important topics as climate change, cyber security, artificial intelligence, reliability, and security issues, what education should look like in an era of rapid changes in technology, etc. Societies continually need to exchange experience and best practices, so I will bring VPs in our societies to meet to exchange ideas and share knowledge and expertise to achieve the most outstanding efficiency through discussion.
