Intelligent Informatics (II) refers to the application of advanced information technologies and intelligent systems within industrial environments to optimize processes, enhance decision-making, and improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Industrial Electronics Applications. It involves the integration of data-driven methodologies, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and other advanced technologies to collect, analyze, and interpret vast amounts of data in real time. Since II transforms traditional industrial electronics systems into smarter, more efficient, and more adaptive entities that can respond to changing demands, optimize resource use, and enhance decision-making, it becomes increasingly important in modern industrial electronics applications. Therefore, this special section, entitled “Intelligent Informatics for Industrial Electronics Applications”, aims to bring together researchers and practitioners from industry, academia and government to present the advanced Intelligent Informatics technologies for Industrial Electronics Applications.
