New Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems Announced

During Industrial Electronics Society’s Administrative Committee (AdCom), held on 7 March 2026 online, IES President Juan José Rodríguez-Andina has appointed the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems (2026 – 2028)

Changyun Wen received the B.Eng. degree from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China, in 1983 and the Ph.D. degree from the University of Newcastle, Australia in 1990. From August 1989 to August 1991, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at University of Adelaide, Australia. Since August 1991, he has been with Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where he is a Full Professor.
Prof Wen is a Fellow of IEEE and Fellow of the Academy of Engineering, Singapore. He was a member of IEEE Fellow Committee from January 2011 to December 2013 and a Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Control Systems Society from 2010 to 2013. He has been the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Cyber-Physical Systems since March 2026, a co-Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics since July 2020, Associate Editor of Automatica since Feb 2006 and Executive Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Control and Decision since 2013. He also served as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control from Jan 2000 to Dec 2002, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics from 2013 to 2020 and IEEE Control Systems Magazine from 2009 to 2019. He has been actively involved in organizing international conferences playing the roles of General Chair (including the General Chair of IECON 2020 and IECON 2023, ICIEA 2009, ICIEA 2019, ICIEA 2024), TPC Chair (e.g. the TPC Chair of Chinese Control and Decision Conference since 2008), etc.
He was the recipient of several awards, including the Prestigious Engineering Achievement Award from the Institution of Engineers, Singapore in 2005, and the Best Paper Award of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics in 2017. He was listed as a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate yearly from 2020 to 2025 and Stanford/Elsevier Top 2% Scientist Worldwide yearly from 2021 to 2025 (ranking 64 out of 122381 authors in the sub-field Industrial Engineering and Automation in 2025).
