IEMDC 2027 will be held on 17-20 May 2026, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The 16th IEEE International Electric Machines and Drives Conference (IEMDC) is celebrating its 30th anniversary and returning to its home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, an industry hub in motors and drives. IEMDC provides a premier forum for sharing technological advances and new developments in the design, operation, analysis, and applications of electric machines and drives.

The conference program will include plenary sessions with invited speakers, oral & poster technical sessions for papers describing original and previously unpublished work, tutorials, and exhibits. Contributions are invited from industry, academia and other sectors. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings, and will be submitted to the IEEE Xplore® digital library. Papers presented at IEMDC may be submitted to IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications, IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, or IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, according to the rules specific to each journal.
