“Power Up” was a conference that took place on the 27 April 2024, at the Ben Arous Chinese Cultural and Sports Center, Tunisia. It served as a platform for experts, innovators, and enthusiasts to explore the latest trends in sustainable technology. Organized through a collaboration between IAS/IES/PES ESPRIT SBJC, WIE ESPRIT SBAG, PES ISTIC SBC, IAS ISTIC SBC, and WIE ISTIC SBAG, the event celebrated cutting-edge advancements while highlighting the significant contributions of women in these fields.

The day began with a keynote address from the chairs of the organizing chapters, setting the stage for a full day of enriching discussions and hands-on workshops.

Two interactive workshops captivated attendees: “IEEE IES & WIE Membership”, presented by Mr. Ala Chalghaf, and “Solar Energy and Energy Conservation”, presented by Ms. Nawres Arfaoui. These sessions sparked excitement and a sense of competition, particularly among participants passionate about energy saving and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Later in the day, attendees gathered for a networking lunch, where they shared insights, exchanged ideas, and explored potential collaborations and solutions within the industry.

One final workshop, “Women in Energy”, presented by Ms. Tesnim Ayedi, celebrated the achievements of women in the field, showcasing their leadership and impact.

A key highlight of the event was the announcement of the Best Ambassador Award, which recognized an individual for their outstanding contribution to promoting the event.

The conference concluded with a closing ceremony, where participants were thanked for their curiosity and thirst for knowledge, and the guests and speakers were recognized for sharing their insights and experiences. The day’s accomplishments were celebrated as participants looked forward to the future of smart manufacturing and energy conservation.
