Abstract:

Driven by rapid advances in data science and artificial intelligence, digital twins (DTs) have emerged as a promising paradigm and are attracting increasing attention worldwide. By creating virtual representations of real-world systems, DTs have the potential to fundamentally transform decision-making and enable predictive optimization and control for cyber-physical energy systems (CPESs).

This webinar will introduce the concept, modeling and learning methods, and a testing platform for DTs, together with their applications in CPESs. First, Dr. Li will discuss the basic concept and key challenges of DTs. Then, he will present several modeling and learning methods for DTs, each illustrated through a specific application in CPESs. Next, Dr. Li will introduce an open-access testing platform. Finally, he will conclude and point out related open issues.

This webinar is intended for professionals and researchers interested in gaining a deeper understanding of DTs and their emerging applications in CPESs, while keeping up with the latest developments in this rapidly evolving field.
