IES past president, Professor Gérard-André Capolino, from the University of Picardie Jules Verne, France, was honored by IEEE Access as Outstanding Associate Editor of the year 2023 for the sixth consecutive year!

Each year IEEE congratulates Associate Editors for their contribution to the tremendous growth of IEEE Access, and for having assisted the journal in upholding high publication standards.

The criteria for becoming an Outstanding Associate Editor are to be among the top 5% of IEEE Access Associate Editors based on:

  • the number of articles handled throughout the year in a thorough and rigorous manner
  • assisting the journal in maintaining its average submission to decision time of 4 weeks
  • completing the required Associate Editor training course
  • going above and beyond to assist with plagiarism investigations
  • being active and in good standing with the IEEE and IEEE Access
