To provide more benefits for our valuable members, IEEE Industrial Electronics Society has recently launched an important initiative to start IES society level online webinar series. This initiative is managed by IES “Multimedia Committee”, chaired by Prof. Morgan Kiani, with close collaboration with VP TA Roberto Oboe (call for webinar), Marek Jasinski (YP&S involvement) and ITeN (promoting actions + webinar platform hosting).

The very first two webinars were hosted in September with great success with 230 attendees and 47 attendees, respectively:

1. Topologies, Modeling and Design of Megahertz Wireless Power Transfer Systems, presented by Chengbin Ma (Shanghai Jiao Tong University, CHINA) On Tuesday, 15 September 2020 4:00 PM CET (10:00 AM ET), Joint Webinar with IEEE Transportation Electrification Community

2. Machine Vision Transparency, presented by Joanna Isabelle Olszewska (University of the West of Scotland, UK) On Thursday, 24 September 2020 4:00 PM CET (10:00 AM ET)

A survey session is also conducted after each webinar, and they have received excellent feedbacks! After-session survey has a participation rate of more than 65% of attendees, and more than 98% rated the webinar “Excellent” or “Very good”!

These two webinars have also been recorded and uploaded to IES resources center for future view of our members, please visit the dedicated page at: https://resourcecenter.ies.ieee.org/education/webinars.html
